I have an 8 year old!?!

OK so I am just a little behind on posting events. I can't seem to find the time for blogging some days it seems. I am very glad to be busy, don't get me wrong. Nothing makes me happier than being a mom of 3 wonderful kids, including one who is now EiGhT YeArS OlD! Say what....?

My beautiful Brielle has reached a special age. We celebrated her birthday on March 16th by having dinner, cake, laughter and lots of presents. But the really special celebration was on March 26th, her baptism day! We got to the church and were busily preparing for others to arrive, getting the meal ready for afterwards, practising music, etc, then my dad informed us that there was no water in the font! Fast forward over some tense moments and wondering if anything was going to happen that day at all, eventually everything worked out. Grandpa Romeril made some calls (having former-bishop connections) and we were able to do the actual baptism at another stake center, having the remainder of the service at the originally planned location where we heard the awesome talks and had lunch afterwards. It was a beautiful warm sunny day and I think the little bit of travelling actually made it special, and most definitely memorable.

Brielle sang the opening song "When I am baptized" and she did such a great job! She didn't sound nervous in the slightest but just sang out with her beautiful pure voice. I was so proud of her!


She was baptized by her papa (my dad), whom she has always felt very close to and later confirmed by Chad during the wonderful blessing he gave her.
I feel very lucky to be this special girl's mom and proud of her for making such an important choice in her life!
