Christmas 2010

Christmas Eve was a beautiful, warm day. First of all, we carolled at a care-center and delivered some small gifts and treats. We try to do something each year that brings us together and helps us feel the true spirit of Christmas. The kids loved being there, and the people we visited with sure loved our kids.
We then enjoyed delicious food and wonderful company, sang Christmas songs, and read the true Christmas story, complete with a live nativity.
This was the first year we decided to stay at home on Christmas Eve, and I honestly don't know why we ever did something else. Besides the convenience of not having to haul things around, loading and unloading (I should say, poor Chad having to do so), the kids actually slept well being in their own beds, and we were able to prepare everything in our own home, as well as do some of our own traditions.
We set up a little singing Santa train, nevermind it kept derailing! It was a fun idea and the kids--especially Addy-- loved it!
Santa was ever-generous with us all. It was especially fun to have a 2-year-old around, it is the perfect age to experience the full magical joy of Christmas!
